According to the power source, mooring winches can be divided into manual mooring winches, electric mooring winches, hydraulic mooring winches.
- Manual winches should be equipped with safety handles and brakes, and are generally used where the lifting capacity is small, where facilities are in poor condition, or where there is no power supply.
- Electric winches are widely used in places where the work is heavy and the required traction force is large. General rated load below 10T winch can be designed as electric winch.
- Hydraulic winches are mainly rated load larger winches, generally more than 10T to 5000T winches designed as hydraulic winches.

A.Ambient Temperature: Mooring winches should be operated in environments ranging from -10°C to 40°C. This temperature range ensures that the winches will function properly in most climates and that their performance will not be impaired by excessively high or low temperatures.
B.Ambient relative humidity: the winch should be used in an environment where the relative humidity should not exceed 95% (at 25℃)
